DONOR PRIVACY POLICY
Pilgrim Africa is committed to the privacy of our donors. Pilgrim Africa will not trade, share, rent, or sell a donor’s personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all information collected, both online and offline on any Platform (‘Platform’, includes the Pilgrim Africa website, mailings, and at events), as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications. As a donor of Pilgrim Africa you can trust that your information is only used for the purposes of furthering the mission.
Pilgrim Africa does not participate in practices that violate your right to privacy and in the interest of honoring donors’ trust, what follows is an account of the activities that utilize donor information.
What Personal Information is Collected
Your personal information is not collected upon visiting our Site except when the information is specifically provided such as subscribing to our newsletters. We may also use your information to track visitors to our website. This lets us see which of our features are the most popular so we can better serve our donors’ needs. It also lets us provide aggregate data about our traffic (not identifying you personally, but showing how many visitors used which features, for example) to outside parties.
Any other personal information we keep on file is provided to us, by you, at will, to improve our ability to support your donor experience and further our mission.
How Your Information May Be Used
Your personal information is exclusively used for our internal purposes. The primary purposes of your personal information include; providing you with personalized engagement; to send emails and mail to you; to answer your requests; to provide you with reports on the organization’s status; etc. You have the right to remove yourself from our communications and have your information pulled from our database.
To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.
When necessary, we may provide your personal information to trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, running our events, or helping you, in agreement with said third parties to keep your information highly confidential. Email Privacy
Pilgrim Africa will not rent, sell, trade, or provide donors’ email addresses to anyone outside the organization.
Children’s Privacy
We act in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act). We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age without prior verifiable parental consent.
If we become aware that an individual is under the age of 13 and has submitted any information to Pilgrim Africa for any purpose without parental consent, we will delete his or her information from our files and database.
Modifications
Pilgrim Africa reserves the right to modify this policy as necessary. Donors can check periodically to review the policy for updates and amendments. Your engagement with Pilgrim Africa following the date listed below which states the date of most recent revision, serves as your agreement to our terms.
