SOLOMON OSSIYA

Solomon has over 15 years progressive experience working in the field of social development, good governance and human rights working notably with the Uganda Human Rights Commission as Regional Officer in charge of Eastern Uganda, Program Coordinator for Danida Human Rights and Good Governance Programs, Country Director Pilgrim Africa, Chief of Party USAID MCC Anti-Corruption Threshold Project and Chief of Party USAID Zambia Institutional Reform Program. Solomon is currently a Senior Partner at Clive and Caesar Advocates and is a member of the Uganda Law Society, the East Africa Law Society and the Uganda Rice Miller’s Council. Solomon is married to Josephine and has four daughters and is an active social entrepreneur, farmer and dealer of high grade organic rice and Tumeric.

Solomon Ossiya Alemu holds a law degree from Makerere University and post graduate qualifications in Legal Practice(Law Development Centre, Kampala), International Law and Human Rights (University of Lund Sweden) and Development Studies (Nelson Mandela University South Africa).
