Wendy Chamberlin is the Director of Expansion and Innovation at The BOMA Project, a nonprofit that works to provide poor women living in Northern Kenya with the educational, financial, and technological resources to lift themselves out of poverty.  She formerly worked as an Associate Program Officer (APO), on the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Financial Services for the Poor (FSP) team. Wendy joined the Gates foundation in 2006, working first with the Grants Inquiry and the Charitable Sector Support Teams, and then later joined the FSP team in 2010 first as a Program Coordinator and then as an APO. Prior to joining the foundation Wendy taught Elementary through High School both in Northern Kenya and in the United States.   She has recently returned to Kenya with her family to carry out her work with The BOMA Project. Wendy holds a Master’s degree from Antioch University, and a B.A. from the University of Washington.
